Role Profile for the Rural Chartered Surveyor Berrys is seeking an ambitious, MRICS qualified Rural Surveyor to join our Towcester office and to take on a varied role with a wide range of professional work. The role would ideally suit a surveyor who has recently qualified or has up to 5 years PQE and is looking to take the next step in developing their career. About the Rural Chartered Surveyor Role • Areas of professional work will include assisting with the provision of advice to landowners regarding maximising value of their land through option and promotion agreements • Providing tenancy advice to both landlords and tenants, as well as property and estate management • Undertaking Property Valuations on behalf of banks and other lending institutions; mainly related to the rural environment and will include residential and commercial elements • Assisting in sales and lettings of property, largely development and rural sales. • Compensation claims, grants and subsides and joint ventures • Identifying new business opportunities and promoting the brand throughout the region • Managing and developing client relationships (new and existing) • Supporting delivery of the business plan including delivery of agreed targets. • Liaising with contractors, clients and colleagues • Assisting in the delivery of agreed financial targets and being responsible for managing own performance whilst exceeding in core technical skills About the individual for the Rural Chartered Surveyor Role • MRICS qualified • A practical understanding of property, land, business and agriculture • Ability to operate independently and work as a team but also know when to refer to a senior colleague for advice • They will be actively looking to build their professional network • Will take ownership of their budget and will manage their workload to meet this • Self-motivated and can act on initiative • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong IT capability • Access to a vehicle with insurance for business Rural Chartered Surveyor Role Benefits The Rural Chartered Surveyor Role role sits within a friendly and supportive team where you will have opportunities to develop your skills.
