Corporate Tax Assistant Manager - Big 4 Financial Services
This FS Tax team is offering an exciting opportunity to work in the one of the most challenging sectors within the industry. They work with the world's leading banking and capital markets clients, offering you the opportunity to work with sophisticated and dynamic businesses, developing your technical knowledge and gaining experience of working on challenging and interesting engagements.
Being a trusted advisor and building long-term relationships with clients is key to being successful in this sector. By working closely with Partners and other leaders, you will be at the heart of our client relationships, enhancing your network and building your brand.
They are an established and successful team that is looking for ambitious and capable individuals, at all grades, to support our growth and help deliver our ambitions.
They work closely with other tax teams, as well as colleagues in Risk Advisory, Financial Advisory, Legal and Consulting, to deliver a broad range of services to a mix of clients. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:
Advice on complex areas of tax law
M&A transactions
Tax disputes and controversy
Audit support
Deliver of a broad range of tax advisory and compliance services to clients, in addition to developing junior team members.
Tax advisory assignments
Advice to UK and international clients on structural and transactional tax issues
M&A support
Delivering tax compliance
Supporting statutory audits
Managing relevant risk procedures, in addition to taking financial responsibility for engagements
Input to client events on both an account and wider team level basis
UK corporate tax experience gained from an in-house role within a financial institution, from an accountancy/legal/advisory firm, or HMRC
The desire and motivation to advance your career in financial services
The ability to manage a portfolio of clients and projects as well as managing junior staff
The ability to work closely with clients, applying practical and commercial concepts to technical work
