You will lead specific workstreams to deliver the continuous improvements targeted by our operating plan, including automating data integration, reviewing our asset strategies in line with industry best practice and exploring innovative solutions to manage the risk of our network.

You will work alongside our expert asset risk engineers to develop models in line with relevant strategies, policies, and our RIIO-ED2 business plans for the network to minimise system, economic, safety and environmental risks. You will support maximising the performance of the distribution system expected by our customers, stakeholders, delivering the best returns in both the short and long term and enabling our wider Net Zero ambitions.
What you’ll bring
Understanding of asset management concepts & practices, systems engineering and model development, with the ability to write and develop functionality for varying end uses.
Strong background in data handling and processing to obtain useful insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ability to analyse and evaluate a complex range of technical, regulatory, commercial, and environmental factors in proposing innovative network developments that are efficient, co-ordinated, and economic.
Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges and deliver large highly complex computationally intensive projects quickly to a very high standard.
Ability to manage innovative data projects whilst working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of distribution and transmission network design across the UK and internationally or knowledge of CNAIM – risk calculations.
Good influencing and communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to different audiences verbally and in writing.
Minimum Criteria
Degree in relevant engineering discipline or HND with suitable experience
Preferably registered with the Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer, or actively working towards this.
