Quality Engineer / Site Inspector required to support the construction, structural steel and building envelope on prestigious project in Deeside. The postholder will be working alongside the Quality Manager supporting the following:

  • Determining, negotiating, and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications
  • Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met.
  • Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers, sub-contractor, and other trade handovers
  • Investigating and setting standards for quality and health and safety.
  • Site Quality inspection plans and assessments.
  • Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both national and international level.
  • Raising Non-Conformance Reports and follow through for claims and corrective actions.
  • Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, and systems.
  • Writing management and technical reports and customers' charters.
  • Determining training needs.
  • Encouraging change and improvement in performance and quality.
  • Directing objectives to maximise profitability.
  • Recording, analysing, and distributing statistical information.
  • Carrying out and monitoring testing and inspection of products and materials to ensure the finished product meets quality standards.
  • Monitoring performance.
  • Building strong working relationship with clients QA team
The successful candidate: Essential: Previous construction site experience, IT literate and be able to prepare Quality Plans, Test Reports, Non-conformance Reports, EWNs & Compile Quality Records Packages. Advantageous: Knowledge of Welding, Steel Erection, Cladding etc. Qualifications: Quality / Inspection Qualification an advantage, CSCS Card is essential.
