The role

The firm is seeking a Professional Litigation Senior Associate / Partner to join their Mayfair , West End office.

The firm currently has a vibrant commercial litigation team of five, headed up by an excellent Partner who is highly regarded.

The team has recently acted on an impressive piece of work, it was the largest ever litigation matter (£1.5billion) to have been heard in the English courts, the firm acted for the defendant. You will find it is generally commonplace for the firm to act on the other side of big city practices.

The firm are seeking to have a separate Professional Negligence department.

The firm are receiving lots of instructions for this type of work driven by referrals and new enquiries. The view is the new hire will build out a specialist department working in collaboration with the respected litigation partner.

This role would prove to be an excellent opportunity for a candidate who may have hit a glass ceiling in their current role, that might be seeking either partnership or equity.

Requirements

  • You will be a Professional Negligence Solicitor with at least five years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • The firm are open minded regarding the candidates background and how they complement the team
  • You will be able to run a caseload with minimal supervision
  • You should be an ambitious candidate keen to grow something of your own
