BAM needs people who have a passion for digital and technology, who understand how it can be applied to help us change this industry into one fit for the future. If you're curious about how the construction industry is evolving and using digital tools to achieve optimum performance of built environment and infrastructure projects, then join our Digital Engineering Apprenticeship programme.

With this Apprenticeship you can complete a Level 3 Digital Engineering Technician standard. Our Apprenticeship will be a full-time role from Monday to Friday. This role will be based in Northampton and will require you to be on site.

Your mission
  1. Assist in the provision of accurate and clear model information for collaboration purposes, 4D planning, and 5D cost estimation and management.
  2. Support the use of digital site data capture systems in accordance with the project specification and in compliance with BAM procedures.
  3. Provide training and technical support in the use of technology to site teams.
  4. Stay abreast of industry developments identifying new innovative technologies that could add value to existing workflows such as AR or scanning technologies or new automations.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE or equivalent 5 (Grade A*-C (9-4))
  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A*-C (9-4))
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A*-C (9-4))
  • A Level or Btec or equivalent

A driving licence is needed for this role due to the nature of the role, you may be required to work across a number of projects.

What’s in it for you?

You will gain 3 qualifications as part of this programme:

  • Digital Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
  • BTEC level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment
  • NVQ level 3 Diploma in Built Environment Design

Your training will be delivered by T3 Training and Development through a 9-week block followed by weekly day release at college. All accommodation arrangements for the block training are taken care of and paid for by BAM. When you're not at college, you will be learning from industry specialists on one of our sites across the UK. Following completion, you are able to progress your career within our Digital Project Solutions team and undertake further apprenticeship training if desired.
