Job Title: Engine Build Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engine Build Technician to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As an Engine Build Technician, you will be responsible for the build and rebuild of engine assemblies, including assembling, dismantling, measuring, and rebuilding all components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build engine assemblies, inspecting and measuring critical components
  • Strip engine assemblies, inspecting and measuring critical components
  • Strip subcomponents of engine assemblies
  • Perform pre- and post-dyno inspections prior to engine testing and shipment
  • Record and maintain all build data, ensuring up-to-date records
  • Report faults and record information in the main engine database
  • Provide support to customers as required
  • Train other employees and team members as needed
  • Consider the health and safety, environmental, and energy impact of all activities

Requirements:

  • Previous engine build experience is essential
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and flexible approach
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Unsocial working hours may be required during busy periods
  • Overtime may be required to complete workload on schedule
  • NVQ L2-L3 Mechanical Engineering, BTEC, ONC, or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred
