As one of the largest performance door-set manufacturers and architectural hardware suppliers in the UK, we provide bespoke Door Suites made onsite in our factory located in Deeside, North Wales.

Due to ongoing success and growth, we're looking for exceptional individuals to join us at our Deeside factory.

The Factory Stores Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient management and control of the stores operation within our large manufacturing facility.

You will oversee all stores activity including receiving, storing, and distributing material, leading a small team, implementing SOPs, as well as collaborating closely with our Procurement and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, responsible for managing the day-to-day challenges associated with working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility, managing warehouse staff, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support the company's operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all product is available and ready for production plan start date
  • Place purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reporting on supplier performance
  • Develop and report KPI’s
  • Liaise with internal project managers to ensure correct information is received in time to procure effectively
  • Expedite supplier delivery, through management of acknowledgment process
  • Raise NCR’s when appropriate
  • Resolving invoice queries
  • Update/recommend MRP (RTIS) product database
  • Checking and maintaining FSC PEFC stock control systems
  • Recommend on standard/non-standard stock items
  • Maintain safe & organised storage and work areas including information systems (eg visual display etc).
  • Deputising for Department Manager in their absence

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
  • ERP/MRP systems knowledge
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Negotiation skills
  • Communication at all levels with internal and external parties
  • Raising of purchase orders
  • Data driven and analytically minded

Desirable

  • Timber knowledge
  • Door & Ironmongery knowledge
