Main purpose of the role: Actively manage the sales sector account portfolio which includes meeting the budgeted sales and forecast targets to achieve sustainable growth whilst shaping and implementing strategies for particular key customers within the world markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Ownership and responsibility for P&L , new product development, Promotional planning sales pipeline within the sales sector of the business.
  • Reporting on all aspects of key Sales sector activities and taking a leadership role in planning and implementing sales strategy, including forecasting of potential /actual orders.
  • Negotiating customer contracts with the assistance of the Managing Director. Preparation of business and financial review documentation associated with contract matters.
  • Retain and develop a portfolio of customers ensuring an in depth understanding of customer objectives.
  • Close liaison with all members of the company management team who have direct responsibility for support service and new product development and Marketing initiatives to the sales sector account.
  • Evaluate customer risk and proactively work to avoid bad debts or action by customers that could affect the company profitability.
  • Maintain and develop contact network within existing and new customer base.
  • Conduct and manage regular customer requests for quotation sessions and existing contract reviews with other key company stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities

  • Day to day responsibility for the sales staff.
  • Cover for Managing Director at internal and external meetings should they be absent as appropriate.

Key competences

  • Excellent communication and people handling skills (internal and external).
  • High level negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Highly numerate with a solid commercial acumen.
  • Perform Project Management duties.
  • Enthusiastic character with an exceptional work ethic to deliver results.
  • High level of organisation skill regarding planning, preparation, execution and follow up.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical /Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • MBA highly preferred.
  • Experience in the passenger service vehicle industry would be particularly relevant.
