Our client manufactures self contained breathing apparatus and other diving equipment. They are now looking to add an experienced maintenance engineer to their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning of preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Managing customer expectations through work/activity planning
  • Daily task management of general maintenance through the completion of the maintenance management system
  • Help develop and maintain a plan of ‘Planned maintenance’ for all key assets and perform planned maintenance activities to schedule
  • Adherence to a planned maintenance schedule
  • Operational availability of Machines & equipment
  • Attend to and carry out repairs to machines & equipment in a reactive breakdown situation
  • Identify and implement improvements to plant, equipment and facilities, in support of site improvements planning and cost reduction targets
  • Plan and record preventative activities using the maintenance management system
  • Work with Health & Safety department to ensure all equipment conforms to HSE guidance and does not cause hazards to the workforce
  • Attendance of EHS meetings
  • Work with sub-contractors in supporting the maintenance function
  • Control of all tools, equipment and spares in support of the maintenance function
  • 6’S’ Housekeeping standards
  • Maintenance of security systems

Must have:

  • Demonstratable knowledge of machine maintenance ideally within an engineering environment
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced engineering / manufacturing organisation
  • Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship (or equivalent) background
  • Ability to influence and work efficiently with customers and colleagues of all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills
  • Results driven
