Dice Saloon: Nice Slices - Head Chef Job Opening

Join our team as a Head Chef at Dice Saloon: Nice Slices We are currently looking to fill a full-time position for approximately 30 hours per week, offering a competitive starting hourly wage of £13.

Dice Saloon is a prominent local gaming store located in Brighton, serving as one of the UK's largest gaming centers with a unique combination of a shop and board-game cafe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage kitchen administration tasks such as scheduling, ordering, maintaining stock levels, cost analysis, and daily service updates.
  • Prepare food orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Set up the kitchen for daily operations, including food preparation stations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met through regular cleaning and deep cleaning procedures.
  • Take personal responsibility for food safety compliance at all times.
  • Create and implement a rotating specials menu to enhance customer experience.
  • Revise and enhance the current menu offerings to cater to diverse preferences.
  • Develop strategies for sourcing, storing, and distributing food products effectively.
  • Collaborate with the management team to drive growth and success for Dice Saloon.
Qualifications:

Applicants should have relevant experience working in a kitchen environment, both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with various staff members are essential. Knowledge of nutrition, HACCP, allergens, and hygiene practices is required. Possession of an up-to-date food safety training certificate is preferred but can be provided if necessary.
