The Big Picture:

The VCCP Partnership is an integrated communications agency set up in 2002 by Charles (V), Rooney (C), Adrian (C) and Ian (P), who founded the agency on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels. Their founding client was BT Cellnet, now more commonly known as O2 and the most awarded brand in IPA effectiveness history.

Across the Partnership, we work with a broad spectrum of clients from O2 and CompareTheMarket to easyJet, LinkedIn, Dominos and Cadbury. Our work transcends the marketing mix, leading everything from social media or launch campaigns to DM and web build.

We also provide very senior strategic planning for clients, customer journey mapping and helping clients to envision their future business, beyond just communications.

WHAT MAKES A BRILLIANT VCCP ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE:

We’re looking for an Account Executive who is meticulous in their attention to detail. They need to be tenacious, resilient and infectious with their energy.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the administration of the account, the prepping of meetings and wider research tasks.

Creative: The creative aspirations at VCCP are very high. At this level you are expected to develop your creative opinion by taking a keen interest in the work being produced by VCCP and in the outside world. You will take the initiative and sign up for David's Reviews, read Campaign, know what’s happening at the IPA and review industry press regularly.

Continue to learn from and work with the Account Manager/Director to demonstrate outstanding creative judgement and, working with the planners and Creative department, ensure the highest standard of creative output possible. They should live and breathe our agency mantra ‘ to create work that populates culture’ and should be relentless in their pursuit of doing this.

Strategic: VCCP is famous for its strategic thinking, perhaps best demonstrated by O2, the most awarded IPA effectiveness brand of all time. Account Executive’s are responsible for monitoring competitor activity and reporting this back to both their agency team and clients.

Client Management: VCCP Account Executives are the focal point of the account, supporting the team to ensure it runs as smoothly possible. Our Account Executives should build and maintain good relationships with the day to day clients at a junior level and will be expected to gain their confidence quickly. It goes without saying that all AE’s at VCCP should be born multi-taskers and have the ability to spin many plates at the same time, whilst displaying charm and calmness to the internal VCCP team and client. They should be microscopic in the detail and provide dedicated support to the Account Manager’s and AD’s leading their piece of business.

Communication: VCCP Account Executives have excellent communications skills, both internally and with the client. They have professionalism and presence with their clients and are clear and concise in all spoken and written communications both to the client and the internal team. VCCP Account Executives are responsible for capturing key agreements, actions and next steps and compiling into contact reports following both internal and client meetings.

Financial: VCCP Account Executives support the Account Manager/Director in the day to day financials of the account. They work with their creative production partners to keep track of production budgets of any projects they are working on, whilst starting to get an understanding on fee’s, budget constraints and forecasting. Whilst finance might be an area to learn, in keeping with the agency's entrepreneurial spirit, AE’s are always on the lookout for opportunity.

Operational Support: VCCP Account Executives are expected to support the core account team in all aspects of their day-to-day role in servicing clients. This might range from ensuring the IT is working and has been fully tested prior to a meeting, or the coordination of travel for the senior account team to a key client away day.

Integration: Written large across the walls of the agency is VCCP’s founding mantra is ‘ IT ONLY WORKS IF IT ALL WORKS’. All AE’s at VCCP should have a broad range of skills to ensure ideas are conceived and delivered with this in mind. Everyone is responsible for challenging an idea through this filter, i.e. is the idea media agnostic and is it a simple enough thought that can work across every consumer touchpoint?
