Infrastructure Technician - £35K - Cheshire

Key objectives:

As the primary point of contact for users, you will play a crucial role in the daily maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and enhancing all IT systems to support the hectic work environment of the organisation and leverage IT to provide it a competitive edge.

A solid technical background, a problem-solving approach, and outstanding communication abilities are requirements for the perfect applicant.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, set up, and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems' hardware and software components to make sure they are current and operating at peak efficiency.
  • Keep an eye on, debug, and fix network problems, such as poor performance, security events, and connectivity issues.
  • Manage and keep up with the servers, doing upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance. Make that data integrity is preserved and backup systems are operating.
  • Keep an eye on malware and antivirus software, firewalls, and data standards compliance.
  • Offer end customers technical support by quickly diagnosing and fixing hardware, software, and connectivity problems. Help with account, permission, password, and desk relocation setup for users.
  • Support IT infrastructure initiatives, such as the installation of new technologies and system upgrades.
