The Global Disinformation Index was born out of this need for data, specifically the need for transparent, independent neutral disinformation risk ratings across the open web. Our team are passionate about our mission, experts in their fields and are collaborative problem solvers.
Support the tech team and broader organisation with collecting and tagging data related to online disinformation threat actors.
Source raw intelligence and produce finished reports for GDI’s intelligence customers.
Maintain codebooks, lists, and training data on GDI’s growing list of adversarial narrative topics in support of the continued development of GDI’s automated data platform.
Perform and maintain records pertaining to content moderation for various platforms.
Support knowledge sharing between the Intelligence Team and other GDI teams.
Provide ad hoc research support across teams where needed.
2+ years of open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis.
~ Experience working in diverse, cross-functional teams, including with data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
~ Experience maintaining anonymized access and gathering data from alt social media platforms.
~ Experience interacting with and supporting intelligence customers, including presenting, and creating professional finished reporting.
~ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable using Google Suite products.
~ Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
~ Concise, effective writer and communicator in the English language.
~ Experience working remotely as part of a global team.
~ Experience with more advanced intelligence software tools such as Maltego, Tableau, and/or Gephi
Experience with python and other data science tools, including pandas, numpy, networkx, etc.
Experience managing intelligence partnerships, including internationally.
Professional fluency in other languages in addition to English is an advantage.
Remote – Based, and right to work, in the UK, Germany or the USA (preferably in the following states: Intelligence Manager
