Construction Manager required to lead the full project lifecycle on a variety of exciting live environment projects and be involved in shaping the future of one of the world's busiest airports. You will be responsible in ensuring projects are completed within the planned budget, timeline and quality / compliance standards. Also, leading the smooth transfer of the project to the relevant departments making sure Airport Operational Readiness planning and activities are in place. As Construction Manager you will report into the Programme Manager and Senior Project Manager and be responsible for taking complex projects through various stages, from design and procurement to construction and delivery. Projects will vary across the airport, with smaller works ranging from £500k through to £10m. The current project portfolio ranges from Retail Unit refurbishments and fit-outs, Departure Lounges, refurbishments with full furniture, fixtures and equipment through to run down buildings needing to be updated to meet a NetZero commitment. Requirements:
- Civil Engineering or Construction related degree.
- Qualified to practitioner level in project management (APM Project Management Qualification or PRINCE2 Practitioner).
- Previous experience as a Construction / Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager delivering projects over £10m.
- Experience working on projects focused on Retail, Property or Car Parking desirable.
- Excellent Stakeholder Management.
- Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
- Innovative with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing external suppliers and contractors.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a simple way to multiple stakeholders.
