Key Accountabilities:
- Transport Compliance - ensure full compliance with Drivers Hours Laws through planning and management of drivers, including regularly checking Tacho data daily for infringements, speeding or any missing data.
- Transport Planning - planning of transport related work for the business on a daily basis
- Routing - routing of abnormal loads for upcoming work in line with regulated notice periods.
- Coordinate and liaise with customers and the companies supply chain as required.
- FORS assistance as required to the SHEQ Manager and Compliance Officer.
- Assist the Transport Manager to ensure full compliance with daily checks.
- Transport Related Vehicle Maintenance – assisting the Transport Manager to plan weekly PMI's that have been requested by workshop.
- Liaise with the Compliance Officer as required to book vehicles onto specific sites.
- Ensure vehicles are added and removed on the company insurance policy as required.
- Assist the Transport Manager with incidents and accidents relating to the Transport fleet.
- Work alongside and provide absence cover for other members of the Transport team.
- Provide updates and reports to the Transport Manager as required.
- Undertake general admin within the Transport department
Requirements of the Role:
- 2+ years practical experience, preferably working in the crane or construction industry.
- Good knowledge of STGO and overside loads, including routing and movement notifications
- Good knowledge of Tachograph laws and regulations
- An understanding of FORS and the standards
- Proactive, self-motivated, strong integrity, team player
- A good understanding of MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal / written)
- Ability to communicate, persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
- CPC Certificate of Professional Competence

- Adaptable to embrace and drive change
Basic Working Hours:
- Generally 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
- Holiday entitlement 28 days per annum (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing by 1 day per full years’ service
- Pension – auto enrolment
- Salary – between £28k and £32k dependant on experience
