Metal Façade Estimator Aluminium Rainscreen systems Become part of a close working and respected team in a modern and thriving company. Role As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our operations, carrying out take-offs, and tenders for a range of clients. Prior experience in an estimating role along with familiarity with industry standards desired, however if you have some industry knowledge we are prepared to train the right person who has the desire to succeed, willingness to learn and build a long term career. Full Time office base role in Birmingham 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 3.30pm Friday ( Negotiable) Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Knowledge of Aluminium Rainscreen systems.
- Completion of budget and full quotations on behalf of our clients
- An understanding of architectural, and other specialist drawings, plans and specifications to provide take offs and quotations.
- Perform accurate project take–offs to the required level of detail utilising measuring take-off tools and software for precision.
- Establishing connections with various subcontractors, and specialists to allow smooth collaboration from enquiry to contract awarded.
- Proactively chasing subcontractors, and quotations to advance the tendering process.
- Executing assigned estimating tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Handling incoming telephone calls, managing messages or redirections as required maintaining clear communication.
- Working closely with your line Manager.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Cost Saving Solutions: Proactively identify potential innovative cost-saving solutions and value engineering opportunities to present to clients, enhancing competitiveness and maximizing project profitability.
- Keep an up-to-date log of current enquires and work to a logical grading system to prioritise work.
- Validate bulk orders based on quotations.
- Batching & phasing of quotations through the reading of schedules and inputting into Epicor system.
- Experience of CRM Systems preferred
