We are recruiting to add an Investment Banking Summer Analyst to the London team, for 8-12 weeks starting in July/August. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with leading, global clients on a wide range of complex transactions, including sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, public and private capital markets transactions, fairness opinions and other strategic advisory work. The candidate will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to clients and will develop their skills as a result of broad and frequent exposure to junior and senior bankers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the team of Analysts, Associates and Senior Bankers in their day-to-day roles
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and other materials for clients
  • Prepare company marketing documents (e.g., Investor Presentations, Confidential Information Memorandums, Private Placement Memorandums, etc.)
  • Develop valuation models and create / analyse financial models
  • Perform research and analysis to support the creation of client materials
  • Participate in all stages of transaction executions, from the pitch phase through to closing
  • Become an industry expert by keeping up to date with the markets and the sector developments, understanding regulatory frameworks in relevant jurisdictions, valuation and financing structures, and attending market events

 

Education, Qualifications & Skills

  • Final-year Bachelor's student (graduating 2024) or currently pursuing a Master's degree, in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Must have prior internship experience in finance, investment or consulting
  • Outstanding academic track record
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
  • Demonstrable level of motivation and work ethic
  • Proven problem solving, teamwork and organisational skills
  • Can perform under high pressure and tight deadlines
  • Experience in developing financial models and valuations beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Right to work in the U.K. without requirement for sponsorship
