5 (Monday - Friday) hours per week
We're looking for someone with experience of working in a claims environment to join our Property Claims team as a Claims Handler. You'll need excellent attention to detail and be able to plan organise and meet set deadlines, as you'll be entering data onto client records and ensuring that they're completed within service standards.
We need people who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service as you'll be monitoring claims and keeping customers and other relevant parties informed of the progress of claims. Accurately recording and analysing information in order to validate and proceed with the claim
Negotiating, settling and/or repudiating claims within delegated limits of authority and referring all claims above delegated authority to underwriters with recommendations
Servicing calls where required, maintaining professional relationships with loss adjusters, insurers and other relevant legal and claims professionals
Answering, resolving and/or transferring inbound phone calls when required
An excellent level of written and spoken English and Mathematical skills
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to learn new systems and processes as required
Experience in the property sector especially the private rented sector, will be useful but not essential, as will a basic understanding of the insurance or financial services industry
