Harmonic Finance are excited to have been retained by one of the world’s most successful fintech scale-ups of the last few years. With the aim of making homeownership accessible to everyone, they’re leveraging creative technology to offer a range of services that make the process of becoming a home owner simpler, faster and more understandable.
With a growing finance function, headed by a highly experienced CFO in this industry, they’re now looking to scale their finance team with the key hire of their first Group Financial Controller. The team is made up of exceptionally talented, bright and passionate people who are excited about building this fintech success. Together with the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will oversee the integration of four recently acquired businesses.
Working closely with a brilliant CFO, the Group Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing and delivering monthly management accounts with insightful commentary, conducting comprehensive analysis of both Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, reconciling monthly balance sheet accounts including intercompany transactions, compiling and filing UK VAT Returns quarterly, overseeing weekly client invoicing and supplier payments, managing cash flow forecasting and control, implementing process improvements, and collaborating across departments, including attending and participating in business meetings.
Preparation and timely delivery of monthly management accounts including insightful commentary.
• Full exposure and analysis across both Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and intercompany.
• Quarterly compiling and filing of the UK VAT Return (HMRC - UK Tax Office).
• Management of the weekly Supplier payments and Cash Flow forecast and control.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in across Finance
• Strong Excel skills

• Location: London or Luton (3 days in office)
