This client is located in Glastonbury and this provides a great opportunity to start a career in the legal industry for a independent boutique firm.

We are looking for an experienced accounts assistant with legal accounts experience. The ideal candidate will be confident and competent when working individually and as part of a team. Ideally you will have knowledge of solicitors accounts rules and be able to apply that knowledge to ensure compliance of all transactions.

DAY TO DAY YOU WILL BE:

  • Process daily financial transactions via company online banking for both client and office accounts.
  • Handle receipts, credit card payments, daily reconciliations, and balance all statements/accounts.
  • Manage client ledgers, maintain accurate records per SRA Accounts Rules, and address discrepancies.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounting records, including purchase ledgers, bills, completion statements, and petty cash.
  • Generate and balance monthly financial reports, assist in annual SAR audits, support the Accounts Manager, and undergo ongoing regulatory training.

THE SUCCESSFULL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

  • Experienced in legal cashier/accounts assistance (2+ years)
  • Highly organised, able to work to tight deadlines
  • Confident IT user (Excel, Word, Email etc.)

IN RETURN:

  • Pay rate of approx. £25000 per annum
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday role (35hrs per week)
  • Employers Pension Scheme
  • 28 days holiday plus additional leave over Christmas and New Year (Discretionary)
