The Mechanical Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing a number of smaller projects, as well as ongoing servicing and reactive works throughout the area. Projects range from University buildings/ accommodation, manor houses and schools.
The candidate must have experience in a previous mechanical contracts managers role. The candidate would ideally come from a technical background within the HVAC sector commercial heating.
The Mechanical Project Manager / Estimator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to surveying and quoting jobs, cost pricing and estimates for new mechanical and HVAC work and reactive and maintenance work. Manage the procurement process for mechanical materials, equipment, and subcontractors including compiling RAMs and ensuring H&S compliance on projects. Carry out any amendments or variations to existing projects / contracts and work closely with the finance team to track and manage these through the project life cycle.
Coordination of the projects. Collaborating closely with other project stakeholders, including the customer, site managers, engineers, and architects, internal finance team to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee and coordinate the mechanical workforce on-site and subcontractors ensuring efficient utilisation of resources.
Ability to run a number of projects at one time.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and services. •
Preferred NVQ Level 3 Plumbing or equivalent.
Full UK Driving Licence
Fixed term contract with possibility of renewal.
