Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer with expertise in Civil Engineering. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and implementing various stages of Civil Engineering projects, from initial planning and feasibility studies to design, construction, and project management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses to evaluate the viability and potential impact of proposed civil engineering projects.
  2. Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, urban planners, government agencies, and community members, to define project goals, objectives, and requirements.
  3. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, outlining the scope of work, resource requirements, and timelines for project implementation.
  4. Utilise engineering software and tools to create conceptual designs, site layouts, and technical drawings for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  5. Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and other technical specialists to gather data, assess site conditions, and mitigate risks associated with project development.
  6. Analyse project specifications, codes, and regulations to ensure that design solutions meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
  7. Conduct cost estimates, budget forecasts, and financial analyses to assess project feasibility, manage project expenditures, and optimise resource allocation.
  8. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.
  9. Monitor construction activities, review contractor submittals, and conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and contractual requirements.
  10. Provide technical support, guidance, and leadership to project teams, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
