Manor House School is an independent special educational needs provision, the school supports boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18 years of age who have a range of social emotional and mental health needs. The philosophy of our school is based upon principles which are holistic, inclusive, aspirational, and progressive. The successful candidate will support our teachers working alongside other support staff and therapists, to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication and learning difficulties.

As a Teaching Assistant you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils and young people we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. You will help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience and some supervision too. Supporting pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs is important and rewarding work, and you will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced teams. As you help our pupils and young people achieve real and significant progress, you will enjoy having a direct, positive impact on their developing lives.
We would love to hear from candidates who have their GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths and who have some experience with SEN and working within a School.
Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising pupils as they explore further afield.
