Key Purpose of a Security Installation Engineer:

As a core member of our Engineering team, you will be expected to provide installation and commissioning to our Security Systems such as Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control in accordance with the current standards. We will help you achieve your goals with full remote technical support and continuous professional development.

Day to Day Responsibilities include:
  1. Installation of electronic security systems to a high standard, including adds, moves, and changes to existing systems.
  2. Possessing good technical knowledge on Intruder Alarms, Access Control, and CCTV.
  3. Excellent knowledge in Intruder alarm signalling devices e.g. Emizon DualCom and Webway.
  4. Excellent communication skills with customers while carrying out works at customer sites.
  5. Exceptional customer service skills and a clean, tidy, and professional work ethic at all times.
  6. Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments, products, and requirements.
  7. Product and parts knowledge of associated alarm products and other security equipment.
  8. Reading and interpreting building plans and CAD drawings.
  9. Working closely with the customer to meet the install requirements and specifications.
  10. Effective communication between customers, KST management, install supervisory staff, and the installation admin department.
  11. Demonstrating the ability to work alone or within a team covering a defined geographical area.
  12. Completing all provided documentation, including site schematics/drawings, and returning to the Installation admin department.
  13. Effective planning and management of work.
  14. Traveling and working away on occasions.
  15. Adhering to Health & Safety and toolbox talks.
  16. Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and your team in accordance with the KST policy.
  17. Any other reasonable requests from the management.
Requirements:

Essential Requirements:

  • 3+ years in the electronic security industry with good working knowledge of all systems.
  • Fully conversant with NSI standards.
  • Fully conversant with Network/IP based and analogue CCTV systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of access control and intruder systems.
  • Applicants must have a clean full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines working with other contractors on site.
