As our Electronics Design Engineer, you'll report directly to the Lead Embedded Systems Engineer and play a critical role in shaping the direction and implementation of robust electronic systems. Essential Requirements…

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Electronic Engineering, or related.
  • 6+ years commercial experience with digital circuit design.
  • Proven application of sound hardware design principles and PCB layout, including at least 4 layer and FPC designs
  • Proficiency in PCB design software.
  • Understanding of EMC/EMI, ESD, and product compliance.
  • Experience taking a product from initial idea creation, through prototyping, and finally to production.
  • Experience creating and reviewing PCB documentation, such as fabrication and assembly drawings, BOM, and Gerber files.
  • Experience with DFMA and DFT.
  • Experience in embedded systems development, including programming in C/C++ and familiarity with microcontrollers and microprocessors.
  • Experience with USART, CAN, RS485, SPI, I2C, I80 protocols.
  • Experience with wireless technologies, such as BLE or WiFi.
  • Familiarity with testing and debugging using common test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyser, protocol analyser etc.)
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with software engineers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Bonus Points…

  • Experience with hands-on assembly, such as soldering or cable harnessing, as needed.
  • Experience within motorsport or automotive industry.
  • FPGA development.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools; Jira and Confluence.
  • IPC Certified Interconnect Designer.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (J-STD, IPC-A, IPC-D)
