It's an exciting time to join Capita and we've got a great opportunity for a qualified UK lawyer to join our Legal team in our Group Functions and Capita Technology Software Solutions (TSS) as a Legal Counsel. We are looking for someone with strong commercial contracts experience. You will be a trusted legal business partner who builds good relationships with key stakeholders and works independently but as part of a team. Supporting Legal Directors Legal and Senior Legal Counsel (SLC) on all projects and transactions and briefing them on areas of concern to ensure a "no surprises" culture
Providing strong commercial contracts experience across supplier based activities
Identifying where judicious decisions are needed on key decision points in contract or dispute negotiations, with escalations to relevant individuals where appropriate.
Drafting contracts, amendments to contracts, legal correspondence and advice notes
Managing personal continuous professional development, sharing know-how with the wider legal team and assisting with development and dissemination of legal training as required.
Assisting with internal reporting and ad-hoc projects.
Sound legal, commercial, business and negotiating acumen with strong technical legal skills.
