Hours: Part time: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, rota-based, 21.6 hours per week (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM coverage)

We’re looking for a professional, friendly, and resilient Facilities Officer to join our dynamic Building Services Team at Newham Dockside. This is an exciting, fast-paced role where no two days are the same — perfect for someone who enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
As the first point of contact for anyone entering the building, your welcoming presence will set the tone for visitors, colleagues, contractors, and residents alike. You’ll ensure the building is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently, while providing excellent customer service.
Carry out building inspections and fire warden duties
Support internal colleagues and building tenants
Maintain security and safety within the building
Learn how to manage the car park and the administrative processes behind this
Experience in facilities, administration, or customer service is beneficial

It is well positioned with access to all major networks in London and the south east. It is well connected by public transport with, bus, tube and DLR. When the Crossrail service opens it will call at Custom House close to our council offices and also Stratford station and from there to central London. The London City Airport which serves major European cities is located at Royal Albert Dock. It was one of the six host boroughs for the 2012 Summer Olympics and contains most of the Olympic Park including the London Stadium. It has a thriving arts quarter with the Theatre Royal Stratford East offering excellent entertainment for all the family. There is the University of East London which has two campuses in Newham, one in Stratford and another next to the regenerated Royal Albert Dock. It also has a large Westfield shopping Centre in Stratford which has all the major retailers there.
