The Head of Professional Programme leads Dance Base’s support to professional dance and movement artists in Scotland, helping them to make their best work and present it to an engaged audience.

The Head of Professional Programme role is a full-time and permanent post that works closely with the Artistic Director to design and deliver our programme of work for professional artists.

The postholder will develop the strategic approach for the professional programme, devise and deliver each project that we offer, and support the network of dance and movement artists that we work with year-round, while also playing a central role in the Leadership Team to guide the whole organisation forward.

The role will report to the Artistic Director and line manage the Programmes Manager and freelance project and festival staff when required.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an arts manager / producer to help create a meaningful programme of support for Scotland’s dance sector that will have a real tangible impact of the arts landscape in years to come.
