Are you a compassionate and resilient individual looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Great Barr (B44) on a full time basis. This position will commence from June and will run into the new academic year on a long term basis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a KS2 pupil who displays challenging behaviours to support him in accessing the curriculum and wider school activities. Working hours are 8:30-3:30 Monday-Friday. As a Behaviour Mentor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building positive and nurturing relationships with students.
  • Providing one-on-one and group mentoring to address challenging behaviours.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Supporting students' social and emotional development.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create individualized support plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Resilience and the ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's lives.
  • A patient and understanding approach to working with children with complex needs.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
