We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to students with behavioural challenges. As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with behavioural challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other professionals
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support
  • Monitor and report student progress to teachers and other professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
