Quest Employment are currently recruiting an experienced Manual Machinist for a reputable company based in Leek. Our client is a leader in welding and robot manipulation, providing bespoke solutions to a world-class customer base. Specializing in high-precision mechanical products, their work spans various industries including wind turbines, nuclear and defence sectors, general engineering, etc. Position Type:

Monday - Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 07:30 to 16:00 Salary:

Negotiable based on experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a strong background in precision engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Manual horizontal borer

setting and machining of large fabrications and components, including milling, drilling/tapping, and boring to tight tolerances. Manual vertical planer

setting and machining of large fabrications and components. Manual vertical borer.

Responsibilities: Work collaboratively as part of a team or independently, setting and operating manual machines including vertical and horizontal borers. Interpret and work from engineering drawings with precision. Utilize height gauges, micrometers, and verniers to accurately measure finished parts. Prioritize safety and ensure high-quality workmanship that meets company standards.

Requirements: Previous experience in precision engineering, with proficiency in one or more of the specified areas. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
