About the Company
Our client has built a stellar reputation for converting tired office buildings into high-quality, well-designed homes in Central and Greater London. The homes have always sold well – often breaking record sale prices.
To best achieve their ongoing objectives, the Company has now formed two divisions:
• Sustainable Development
• Retrofit Consultancy & Project Management
Our client’s aim is to make retrofit easy to understand and access, providing a holistic retrofit coordination service that can be tailored to meet the needs of all households and residents.
The Role
As the Fit-Out Director, you will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all retrofit projects, including direct supervision and quality control of retrofit assessor & co-ordinator services. Your role includes recruiting (with CEO and COO) skilled retrofit professionals. You are responsible for the compliance of projects with PAS 2035 guidelines, and you will ensure that all retrofit projects align with the company’s strategic goals for sustainability and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee and provide strategic direction for the entire range of services.
– Supervise the fit assessors & coordinators to ensure thorough assessments and effective implementation of retrofit projects across London.
– Ensure that all projects adhere to local regulations and national sustainability standards.
– Sign off on completed retrofit assessments and address any project management challenges encountered by the retrofit coordinators.
– Lead recruitment efforts for retrofit assessors and coordinators, ensuring candidates meet requisite accreditation and experience standards
– Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team in retrofit assessment and project management.
Support set up educational training curriculum with educational partners.
Essential Skills:
• Knowledge of the retrofit process and the roles of all stakeholders as identified within PAS 2035.
• Understanding of the retrofit construction industry and the processes involved.
• Experience of working with contractors and installers through all stages from project inception to onsite monitoring, handover, and defects.
• Experience of energy assessment tools and models: SAP (full version), or PHPP software, and at least one of the agreed PPR assessment tools.
• Experience of use of spreadsheets for data input, management, and ability to check for errors.
Required Qualifications:
• Retrofit Coordinator PAS 2035 qualification- or equivalent.
• Level 5 diploma in retrofit coordination and risk management.
• Have 12-18 months experience in delivering retrofit co-ordinator services to clients.
• The Fit-Out Director will have experience of conservation area properties.
• Experience of customer-facing roles, including working with private households and owner occupier clients.
• Proven experience in conducting assessments on homes in the London area.
• Degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Architecture, or Engineering.
