Automation Support Assistant Manager

Virtual Operations is a consulting and implementation firm specializing in digital transformation and intelligent automation. We are leaders in our space and work with large, blue-chip companies globally to deliver high-value work – typically with high levels of complexity.

We are a virtual company and work remotely, although we do make the effort to meet in person and build relationships; this role would be 100% home-based although client travel will sometimes be required.

We are a small, flexible company and looking for a team player who can support across a range of initiatives and is keen to learn new skills.

An opportunity to join an expanding RPA / AI support team within Virtual Operations. This role bridges the technical aspects of RPA support with account management.

Reporting to our Service Lead the role is designed as an opportunity for personal growth into a future management position .

The role will include:

  • Taking ownership of ongoing support, providing updates to client for all incidents raised
  • Consuming technical information and updates, transforming into simplified digestible language that can be provided to non-technical senior client staff
  • Generating project plans and other artifacts for any large-scale implementation programmes, monitoring project progress and chairing technical and service meetings
  • Prioritising and distributing work tasks to the support team, monitoring progress and actioning any blockages impairing progression.
  • Administering the support team, ensuring sufficient technical capability is always available.

This role will require:

  • Understanding of RPA lifecycle, process and procedure
  • Understanding of RPA capabilities and limitations
  • Prior experience in business relationship management with external clients
  • Experience of project management or PMO

Optional beneficial experience:

  • ITIL experience / certification(s)
  • Experience in change, incident and problem management
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure – network, data centre and virtual / remote asset management
  • Ability to confidently present technical information to business stakeholders
