The below job description will outline this position of: Superintendent (HSEQ) Typically, this person will provide support on the systems and safe operating practices monitoring compliance and when necessary proposing change to ensure relevance with current practice.

This position is based in Central London - but does offer flexible / hybrid working,

UK VISA sponsorship is available for the right candidate if applicable. HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity. Duties and responsibilities of the Superintendent (HSEQ):

Create and develop safety awareness programs.

Checking vessel movements and provide assistance to the CSO on security matters when necessary.

Updates the approved ship specific Ship Security Plans (SSP) when considered necessary.

Perform audits of assigned vessels and office.

Monitors KPIs of assigned vessels.

Report and check processes of near misses, accidents and incidents.

Interfacing with Regulatory Agencies: Class and Flag State Administrations to manage compliance of the fleet.

Assists in providing development of procedures and processes, compliant with regulatory, voluntary, or expected customer standards for inclusion in the Companys documented SMS.

Assists in planning routine emergency response development and arrangements.

Plans audits of assigned vessels and office according to ISM/ISO requirements. Qualifications and requirement for the Superintendent (HSEQ): Deck or Engineering officer or suitable higher-level education such as: BA/BSc Degree.

Auditor accredited with ISM/ISO accredited.

Experience in HSE & QA position.

Audit experience.

Understanding of vessel operational procedure and requirement.

Understanding LNG cargo operation.

Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation & Analysis Training.

Understanding each vessels charter party and Performance Warranties requirements.

Evaluation and appraisal of risk assessment.

Having global knowledge of ocean passage in accordance with IMO guidelines.

Should be organised and self- motivated.

Team player.

Good communication and inter-personal skills.

Good time management skills.

Adaptable and flexible.

A desire to drive continual improvement in self and others.

Safety Motivator.

Delivers quality.
