What You’ll Be Doing As their Information Security Manager & Assurance Lead, you’ll: Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of information security and assurance frameworks. Oversee risk management, compliance reviews, audits, incident response and the protection of organisational assets. Provide expert guidance on information security, business continuity and disaster recovery. Deliver training and awareness programmes to embed secure behaviours across the organisation. Shape secure system designs and manage supplier risks, ensuring outsourced services meet required standards. Work collaboratively across teams to align statutory responsibilities, policies and governance. Champion innovation and drive positive cultural change in security and assurance practices. What They’re Looking For You don’t need to tick every box — they’re looking for someone who brings capability, curiosity and the confidence to lead. Ideally, you’ll bring: Solid experience in information security management, including policy development, governance frameworks and risk-based decision-making. Strong understanding of key standards such as GovAssure, Cyber Essentials, ISO27001 and ISO22301. Experience influencing stakeholders, advising senior leaders and communicating complex security concepts in a clear, accessible way. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and strengthen resilience. Hands-on experience managing incidents, audits, assurance activity and supplier compliance. The ability to design and deliver training that inspires secure behaviours across all levels of the organisation. A collaborative leadership style that empowers others and builds strong cross-functional relationships.
