The Showroom Assistant will be the first point of contact for clients visiting our London showroom. You’ll be instrumental in delivering a welcoming and organized environment, assisting with day-to-day operations, and supporting the sales team. This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a passion for design.

What you'll get to do...

  • Welcome clients, interior designers, and trade visitors, ensuring they have a positive showroom experience.
  • Answer general questions about our products and collections, providing information on materials, pricing, and customization options.
  • Assist in scheduling client appointments and follow up with leads.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and visually appealing showroom, ensuring that displays are always up to MINDTHEGAP standards.
  • Update and arrange product samples, materials, and literature for easy client access.
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks, including order processing, inventory management, and updating client records.
  • Assist the sales team by preparing quotations and handling order inquiries.
  • Manage inventory levels of showroom samples and materials, liaising with the supply team to ensure stock availability.
  • Provide product information and recommendations based on clients’ design needs.

Your experience should include...

  • Previous experience in retail, showroom, or customer service roles; experience in the interior design industry is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Interest in interior design and home décor; knowledge of MINDTHEGAP collections is a plus.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Speaking fluently and writing in Romanian language is a big advantage

You might also have...

  • Bachelors’ degree in interior design or related
  • At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role
  • Speaking fluently Romanian language or other language is a big advantage

Founded in 2016 by Ștefan Ormenișan, creative director and Victor Șerban, managing director, Mindthegap started its journey as the main brand of Global Art Production company, designing and producing wallpapers and wall art. Our products are rich in detail with high quality finishing and unique embellishments. We design and produce premium home furnishings inspired by the traditions and craftsmanship of our ancestors. All our products are manufactured by using finest quality materials from the best makers around the globe. Natural linen from Belgium, the finest leather is sourced from the best tanners of Italy, cotton velvet is made in England and our wallpaper substrate is produced in Germany and Finland and printed in Transylvania.

We are not just purveyors of wallpaper or fabric. We are creators of moods, stories and lifestyles. A world of intriguing combinations and endless creativity, our luxury wallcoverings, fabrics, furniture and home accessories are timeless pieces that enrich lives with beauty and style.

Mindthegap's headquarters are located in Transylvania alongside our production facility where we manufacture wallcoverings, lighting and framed prints, whilst our fabrics, furniture and accessories are sourced from trusted european suppliers. Each year we launch several lifestyle collections of coordinated home furnishings inspired by global culture and the iconic creations of mankind.
