*Hours: *40 hours per week, day, night, waking night, sleep in shifts.

*About our service*

We are a 3-bedroom home in Salford for young people with mental health needs. The home works closely with a psychologist, who supports the team to be able to offer a therapeutic environment for young people to enable them to express and manage their emotions and learn new coping skills which they can take with them to use in later life.

*The role*

You will support the Registered Manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift. This will involve providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team in supporting the young people they support to achieve their goals and aspirations.

*About you*

As a member of the team you will need a real passion for providing a high standard of support that enables our young people to be as independent as they can, learn and develop through education and experience, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life. It is essential to:
* Hold a NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Have previous experience supporting children and young people with mental health issues (self-harming behaviours, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders)
* Experience of leading a shift and team
* Administering medication
* Supervisions, appraisals
* Be available to commit to working across a variety of shifts on a rota basis
