As a Regulatory Data Team Leader, you will lead a cross-functional team in the delivery of regulatory reporting software solutions.
The Data Engineering department is responsible for writing software and reporting systems to communicate jurisdiction specific information to international regulators. These applications are built to a high standard, tuned for performance, and must be extremely reliable, operating with extremely low tolerances of error.
We're using an architecture that includes high-throughput, database-centric distributed applications. It also supports batch reporting, integrates with SOAP and REST APIs, and features Windows and web services, as well as web applications.
We are seeking an individual with a background in technical databases or software engineering, who is a strong people leader, with a proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team. You will be responsible for ensuring the team's output meets stringent regulatory reporting requirements while upholding high standards of architectural and technical design.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working policy.
Experience of leading a geographically distributed software delivery team.
Experience of design and implementation of software solutions within a cloud architecture would be advantageous.
Experience of working within a regulatory or commercial gambling environment is desirable.
Commercial database development experience coupled with optimisation skills, using SQL Server 2014, or later and T-SQL, or BigQuery and GoogleSQL.
Experience in database design and software architecture.
Demonstrable experience of real time reporting and or large-scale database centric distributed systems.

Managing team performance; providing mentoring and coaching and supporting development goals.
Ensuring governance is in place so that the output of the team meets regulatory reporting requirements whilst adhering to best design practices.
Owning the delivery of reporting solutions to meet regulatory requirements
Overseeing risks, issues, and external team dependencies through to completion.
Identifying and implementing improvements to working practices, processes and deliverables to support the efficient delivery of high-quality software.
Providing management with status updates of team deliveries and activities, and escalating issues that risk the timely delivery of project milestones.
Adopting, implementing and driving forward agreed agile delivery practices within the team.
Gaining an understanding of the existing regulatory reporting systems; both the regulatory requirements and the interpretations which have been implemented.
