About the Role As SENDCO, you be responsible for leading the strategic development of the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) policy whilst assessing, planning, and reviewing the effectiveness of interventions. You will liaise with families and outside agencies to support best outcomes for children and must be an effective communicator and team player. The successful applicant will have the following:
- Qualified Teacher status with experience in the SENDCo role and all it entails (NASENDCo qualification desirable)
- The ability to organise, lead and motivate staff and pupils
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Be highly motivated and committed to developing pupil potential
- Be committed to working as part of a team and have a good sense of humour
- Be able to adapt and respond to challenging situations
- Be committed to supporting the Christian ethos of the school
