Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Slough Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of £303.00 which is negotiable dependent upon experience. Also open to suggestion for your day rate.

We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager this role will be: SL1 2EJ

The right candidate will:

* Providing procurement guidance and support across Council departments.

* Reviewing procurement business cases.

* Reviewing the ASC DPS.

* Gap analysis in relation to the new Procurement Act.

* Developing Annual procurement plans across all departments.

We require the following:

* Demonstrable successful senior management experience in a large, complex, multi-service organisation, managing across technical or professional areas.

* Experience of leading and managing significant organisational change with evidence of achieving tangible benefits, including supporting the implementation of new organisational structures, systems and / or new and flexible ways of working.

* Experience of financial and budgetary management with the ability to formulate financial strategies that provide value for money and puts stakeholders at the centre of financial decisions.

* Proven track record of embracing digital approaches and new ways of working to achieve quantifiable efficiencies and improved ways of working.
