Senior HLTA Apprenticeship Assessor £25,914 per year HOURS: 21 increasing to 35 hours a week, term time only. Maidenhead About the Opportunity Our client is a well respected and succesful school ,it is a large and highly successful special school educating some c300 students aged 2-19, who, due to their complex needs, require significant specialist support to succeed academically and achieve their full potential. The school’s mission statement is to be the Centre of Excellence for students with special educational needs. The school is an apprenticeship main provider, offering high-quality training not only to internal candidates but also to other schools and colleges. Working with Apprenticeships team you will support the Apprenticeships Manager with the progress and assessment of Level 3, 4 & 5 apprenticeships. Experience of developing learning materials is desirable to enable you to write the curriculum for new apprenticeship courses. You will also support, coach, monitor and assess learners to successfully complete and pass their apprenticeship. You must be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience together with excellent numeracy and literacy skills (minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent or working towards). You will need a car and business insurance. Your role and responsibilities

  • To enrol new apprentices and liaise with employers
  • To assess learners’ performance and/or related knowledge in a range of
tasks  To ensure that the competence/knowledge demonstrated meets the requirements of the standards/syllabus
  • To be available to learners as required
  • To ensure each learner is aware of his/her responsibilities in the collection
and presentation of evidence
  • To agree and record assessment plans with each learner
  • To fully brief learners on the assessment process
  • To follow assessment guidance provided by TQUK and the centre
  • To observe learners’ performance in the workplace and/or in simulated
