**Group Accountant / Financial Controller Financial Services | 12-Month FTC (with perm potential) | Up to £90,000 | Hybrid | Immediate Start Required** We’re supporting a high-growth, private-equity-backed financial services group in the search for an experienced Group Accountant / Financial Controller-level professional. This is a critical role for the business and they’re looking to have someone in seat before mid January . If you enjoy fast-moving environments, multi-entity complexity and the chance to take real ownership, this will suit you perfectly. The Role You’ll lead the month-end close across several legal entities, manage a small team, and deliver high-quality group reporting. With ongoing acquisitions and continuous change, this is a role with genuine variety and senior visibility. You’ll work closely with the Group Finance leadership team, partnering with FP&A, External Reporting and Audit, while helping to strengthen reporting processes and controls across the group. What you’ll be doing Lead the full month-end close for multiple regulated and non-regulated entities Oversee management accounting and group financial reporting Complete and review group consolidations and intercompany reconciliations Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls and documentation Manage, develop and mentor a team of four Partner with FP&A on variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders Support external audit processes Contribute to M&A integration and broader finance change initiatives What we’re looking for Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA / CIMA) Strong financial services background (wealth mgmt, asset mgmt, banking or other FCA-regulated environments) Solid experience running multi-entity month-end close Proven experience with group consolidations and intercompany Confident managing a small team Highly organised, hands-on and calm under pressure Thrives in dynamic, fast-changing, PE-backed environments Contract, Start Date & Progression Because of the urgency, the business will only consider candidates who are: ✔ Immediate or ✔ On ≤ 4 weeks’ notice The package includes: 12-month fixed-term contract up to £90k base Strong potential to convert to permanent for the right person (could be straight perm) Hybrid working from a central London office Why this role stands out PE-backed = high visibility, pace and opportunity Highly acquisitive = exposure to integration, change and complexity Experienced leadership team committed to modernising finance Brilliant platform for future progression (FC / Head of Finance / Group roles) If you’re a qualified accountant with FS experience who can start quickly and wants a role with ownership, challenge and real career upside, apply or get in touch today .
