Join Barnardo's to help deliver a new three-year UK Young Health Programme with a leading pharmaceutical company The partnership will: Help young people in poverty get healthy food and cooking equipment through a new 'Healthy Living Fund'. Support young people who have experienced poverty to create a 'Healthy Living Toolkit' to share with youth and families across the UK. The Toolkit may include nutritious recipes, physical activity ideas, and practical advice to encourage healthy choices. This role will: Lead youth engagement (80% of role / 0.8 FTE) Recruit and support a group of young people with experience of poverty to become "Young Health Champions" working with Barnardo's and our pharmaceutical partner. Run workshops teaching Young Health Champions about good nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Help Young Health Champions use their experiences and new knowledge to create a 'Healthy Living Toolkit'. Work with Barnardo's policy team to help Young Health Champions share their messages with policymakers and the public. Support youth voice in Barnardo's health services (20% of role / 0.2 FTE) Help Barnardo's health services across the UK include young people's voices in their work. Run group sessions to gather young people's views for service planning and advocacy work. Support young people's ongoing involvement in our health projects. We're looking for someone with: At least five years' experience in a role working directly with children and/or young people in a health, social care, education or youth work setting. Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating strategic voice and influence activities with young people – including through remote or virtual working. Experience of working in the health context – this could be working within a public sector health body (e.g. the NHS) or a VCSE organisation delivering health work. Experience of working with a range of stakeholders at different levels, across different organisations/partners, and through a matrix-reporting arrangement. Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate projects, collaboratively and effectively. Excellent collaboration, networking and partnership-working skills. Please note, these will also form our initial shortlisting criteria. Specific requirements: You must live in or near central London as this role requires evening and weekend work with young people in Zone 1. Due to budget limits, we cannot cover travel or accommodation costs. This is a hybrid role linked to our central London office near Euston.
