Department: Catering Casual Support Team Employment Type: Zero Hours Location: Silverstone Compensation: £12.58 - £15.20 / hour Description We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic Bar staff to join our Bar Team. We are looking for bartenders who can work in a fast-paced bar who can deliver a wide range of drinks in a high-volume environment. You will need to be knowledgeable about drinks and be confident in providing guests with the correct drink choice. The role will allow you to learn and develop amongst our friendly and hardworking bar team, with the potential to progress within the company. To ensure the effective and efficient running of all Small to medium on-site bars for MICE and Track events in accordance with the management team brief. Silverstone is now seeking a highly motivated Bartender skilled in detail-oriented service, member recognition, point of sale (POS) systems operations, and tending bar. All members of the Bar team are required to have a competent knowledge of different types of beer, wine and spirits and their delivery. Key Relationships Sales team Drive and Ride Manager Estate & Facilities Manager Finance team IT Department Venue team Marketing team External suppliers Key Responsibilities Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail Satisfying patron requests in a timely manner Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons Taking payments for drinks served and providing change as needed Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories The set up and break down of temporary bars Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory Slicing, pitting, and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks Complying with all food and beverage regulations Team Standards & Responsibilities Create a positive, proactive culture and environment within the department Promote at all times the professional image of the company by ensuring high standards of both professionalism and personal presentation Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks Touch Screen Till literacy Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean Relevant training certificate Ability to take ownership and problem solve, is proactive and self-motivated Works well as a team player and uses own initiative Passionate about customer care First class ‘host’ skills and passionate about customer service Excellent eye for detail, with strong organisational, time management & interpersonal skills Flexible approach in working hours – including weekends. Is clear and articulate in oral and written communication Demonstrates conviction in finding innovative approaches to solutions Accepts and meets stretching targets
