Mechanical Shift Production Engineer Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Mechanical Shift Production Engineer to join our client. The Role:

  • Responsible to ensure all breakdowns are responded and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and applied in order to adhere to health and safety.
  • Reporting to the team leader, assisting in the efficient operation of the mechanical function.
  • React as first line response to breakdowns, diagnose faults and carrying out repairs effectively.
  • Follow routine and condition-based maintenance schedules as generated through Internal Maintenance Management System.
  • Undertake improvement projects under supervision of the day engineering team as required by the business.
  • Working at heights.
  • Maintenance of Gearbox’s and coupling systems.
Requirements:
  • Ability to follow Safe working procedures.
  • Aware of risk assessment and able to at point risk assess / identify hazards.
  • Demonstrate a good all-round level of Health, safety and environment awareness.
  • Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship (ONC level or equivalent).
  • Mechanical experience of industrial systems.
  • Experience in use of mechanical equipment, specialist tools, and lifting equipment.
  • Fault finding experience on Hydraulic, Pneumatics and water systems.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and work with technical data.
  • Reporting of PPM activities and breakdowns.
This is a Day and Night shift position, no weekend work. Salary: £40,953 Including Shift Allowance. This is a Full time, Permanent position
