My client, a pioneering company in methane pyrolysis technology , is transforming the hydrogen industry to accelerate its adoption and fight climate change. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and optimization of our cutting-edge hydrogen production systems.

About

My clients' groundbreaking methane pyrolysis technology delivers the lowest-cost hydrogen from natural or bio-gas with almost zero CO2 emissions . Their patented process reduces emissions by producing a green solid carbon co-product, helping to replace billions of tons of virgin carbon used annually. As hydrogen becomes a multi-trillion-dollar market, they're is set to be a key enabler in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing their hydrogen production reactor systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the mechanical design process for the microwave reactor and production subsystems.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering Director and CTO to develop, test, and integrate production systems.
  • Designing containerized production systems using CAD tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD .
  • Managing the mechanical fitting of components and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Sourcing and specifying components for their hydrogen generators.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or HNC/HND qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an engineering design environment.
  • Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with solids handling and high-temperature ATEX environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment and adapt to emerging technologies.
