Vella Recruitment are working exclusively on behalf of a, EXCITING, MARKET-LEADING, Central London based SME Environmental Consultancy who are looking for people with 2-8 years' Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) experience to join their GROWING team.
With an outstanding reputation working on a huge variety of London and the UK's most exciting projects and a fantastic company structure and benefits package - this is an incredible opportunity for ambitious EIA Consultants from the Junior to Associate level. Please note: we have individual job specifications for each role which can and will be provided. Whilst experience working on projects in other sectors (such as infrastructure) is beneficial, this role will primarily operate across the Urban Regeneration market, so a desire to work on Residential/Mixed-Use focused schemes is essential.
We are looking for exceptional people with:
- A solid understanding of EIA and other impact assessment techniques.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing projects in a consultancy environment.
- Considerable time management experience.
- Experience of producing proposals, marketing materials and business development experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good undergraduate/first degree in environmental sciences, natural sciences or environmental planning
- Masters/second degree in a related subject preferable.
- Industry experience in EIA and environmental management.
- Associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or an equivalent professional organisation would be beneficial, as would a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) qualification.

Examples of responsibilities of the roles available are:
- ensuring projects are provided to the highest standard, taking ownership and responsibility for the completion and quality of work
- have experience on project managing and delivering more complex ES and Environmental Reporting for non-EIA and EIA projects, including the production and editing of EIA Screening Reports, EIA Scoping Reports, Environmental Statements, standalone technical reports and post planning services
- participate, and often lead in project team meetings, attend client briefs and other meetings independently to discuss EIA matters and lead meetings as and when required
- keep up to date with relevant environmental and EIA legislation/policy/guidance
- keep up to date with the property market, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and developing relationships with new contacts and clients in the industry, through regular attendance of networking events, meetings and seminars
