Main Responsibilities of an Application Security Officer
~ Ensure the security and integrity of IT business applications by embedding secure design principles throughout the development lifecycle. This role emphasizes proactive security measures, risk mitigation, and alignment with compliance and industry standards.


In-depth knowledge of security concepts, OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25
Understanding of current and emerging security technologies and threats.
Proven experience with threat modelling and risk analysis
Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability analysis frameworks and tools
Familiar with waterfall and agile development processes and have experience integrating secure development practices into both models
