About the job

As a Civics Strategic Partner Manager, you will work to drive adoption of YouTube with political leaders and commentators, government, charities, cultural institutions and think tanks. You will educate partners on YouTube’s responsibility efforts and help deliver accelerator programme for civics partners.

In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally on a regional and global level in particular with YouTube’s global Civics, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Marketing, and Creator teams. You will think creatively to empower partners to make the most of YouTube and advocate internally for civics partners. You will support creator advocacy initiatives by driving collaboration opportunities between creators and key opinion formers.

Additionally, you will be an excellent relationship-builder who understands the government and political landscape and is able to work across the political spectrum. You will be an execution-focused problem-solver who grows when leading multiple projects.

Responsibilities
  • Drive adoption of YouTube by communicating the value of the platform in helping partners achieve their goals and providing consultative support.
  • Support YouTube’s public policy strategy by helping key opinion formers to see success on YouTube, delivering tentpole events and driving creator collaborations. Comply with YouTube policies for government and political engagement to ensure propriety and impartiality.
  • Represent YouTube at trainings, workshops, and industry events featuring government officials, political applicants and civil society.
  • Collaborate effectively with a number of cross-functional teams, including Government Affairs and Public Policy, Marketing, Creator, Operations, Product, Legal and Communication.
